Peggy Plews-Ogan, MD, a faculty member in the Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative & Hospital Medicine, has a long-standing interest in the role of wisdom in medicine — including authoring a book on the subject. An article by Linda Kobert in UVA Today (1/7/16) explores in depth the work of Dr. Plews-Ogan and colleagues in developing a curriculum for UVA medical students that aims to foster wisdom in the practice of medicine.
