Pamela Moore Receives Research Award

2020 Richard F. Edlich Medical Student Research Award in Emergency Medicine

Pamela Moore, a fourth year medical student and incoming Emergency Medicine Resident here at UVA, is recognized by the Department of Emergency Medicine for her significant contributions to quality improvement research. Her research benefits system processes and enhances patient safety in both Emergency Medicine and Cardiology. Some of her work specifically focused on decreasing patient times to catheterization for those experiencing acute MI ‘s arriving by EMS. Pamela is celebrated as the 2020 recipient of the Richard F. Edlich Medical Student Research Award in Emergency Medicine.

In 1995, this award was established in Dr. Edlich’s honor as a way to recognize graduating medical students whose research in Emergency Medicine significantly contributed to patient care.
