UVA Today recently announced that four students participating with our UVA-Guatemala Initiative Summer Opportunities Abroad program have received funding through Community-Based Undergraduate Research Grants (CBURG). CBURG provides valuable funding for community-based research projects. We are very proud of Hania Abboud, Rawan Osman, Bonnie Laingen and Hailey Robbins for their work with waste water treatment and electronic medical record management at Hospital Nacional de Totonicapán in Guatemala.
