Kunal Agarwal is celebrated as the 2021 recipient of the Richard F. Edlich Medical Student Research Award in Emergency Medicine. He researched the training background of academic physicians, assessing the impact of factors such as gender, medical school location, residency location, and residency duration on where academic physicians work after training.
In 1995, this award was established in Dr. Edlich’s honor as a way to recognize graduating medical students whose research in Emergency Medicine significantly contributed to patient care.
