UVA School of Medicine recently announced Dr. Margaret Sande as a recipient of the Graduate Medical Education Master Educator Award. This award recognizes individuals who have provided major contributions to Graduate Medical Education (GME) at University of Virginia.
Dr. Sande has taken on multiple leadership roles within GME, has created multidisciplinary coalitions in the Medical Center, and has built educational programs to improve quality and safety. She strives to prevent infection and prevent LIP injury for patients across UVA Health. Additionally, she is working with the School of Medicine to increase resident simulation experience through her role as director of the GME ERC Simulation Lab.
Undoubtedly, Dr. Sande exhibits her skills as a model educator for residents and colleagues. Congratulations, Dr. Sande!
