As a native Virginian, I am thrilled to be working at my alma mater, UVa. Charlottesville is a wonderful town and I know of no better place to settle down with my family. Prior to returning to UVa, I lived the nomadic existence of an active duty soldier proudly serving as an Army physician and becoming a veteran of the Iraq war.

My varied interests in medicine led me back to Charlottesville. I completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at UVa and now split my time between Family Medicine and UVa Athletics caring for UVa student-athletes and covering UVa sporting events. I enjoy teaching UVa resident physicians and medical students in different aspect of sports medicine. My specific research interests include sport-related concussion and regenerative medicine. Ultrasound is a powerful tool that I use for musculoskeletal related injuries and procedures. I am open to integrative medicine and will incorporate those aspects of the healing arts when needed. Altogether, I am a family medicine physician at heart and enjoy taking care of people young and old.
