We are here to help prospective, current, and previous students, as well as UVA health system MDs, with all the details of financing a medical education and repaying student loans.

The Financial Aid Office serves both the Charlottesville and Inova-based students and is fully remote.  We are available 8:00AM-5:00pm, Monday – Friday (except University holidays).

We recommend that all documents be submitted electronically both for security purposes and to ensure timely processing.  Within 1-2 days of completing the financial aid application in SIS, you will see links on your To Do List to upload the required tax documents.  If you are for some reason unable to upload your application materials in SIS, please email us to arrange for other submission options.

Outside scholarship checks for MD students should be mailed to the SOM Financial Aid Office (NOT UVA Student Financial Services) at:
