Volunteer at SPCA
The SPCA is a no-kill animal shelter. Volunteer to play with animals and help the SPCA keep their shelter running! Volunteer orientations are happening this month. See the SPCA website for more information.
Volunteer as a Literacy Tutor
Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers to tutor adults in reading, writing, or speaking English. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds, and they are hoping to acquire the skills they need to independently pursue life goals, support their families, and contribute to their communities. Help our students achieve their goals by calling 434-977-3838 to register for our New Tutor Training on Saturdays this fall, 9:30am-4:00pm. Volunteer at UVA Hospital
The UVA Hospital needs adult volunteers for various jobs and shifts throughtout the hospital. You could read books to sick kids, deliver flowers to patients, or cuddle newborns in the NICU.
