(CHEDI)

Our Mission

CHEDI is committed to exploring novel approaches to providing consumer-centric health information, evaluating their effectiveness, and distributing our findings to a broad audience, including the public, academic organizations, governmental agencies, and the private sector.

We strongly believe that high quality health care depends on successful information exchange between a health care expert and an “information consumer” (e.g. a patient or family member).  An important component of this interaction is health education, either in the context of disease prevention (e.g. promoting healthy behaviors, screening for disease), treatment for existing disease (e.g. heart disease, asthma, diabetes), or making choices among providers or health care plans.
