The UVA Center for Psychiatric Clinical Research seeks adults, ages 18 to 65 with major depressive disorder and continued depressive symptoms despite taking an antidepressant, for a research study. The purpose of the study is to test the efficacy of the study medication with an existing antidepressant compared to a placebo. The study involves taking either an experimental medicine or placebo, blood draws, ECGs, and completing assessments during 7 visits over a period of about 2 months. Study-related exams, tests, procedures and experimental medication provided free of charge. Compensation is $100 per completed visit.
