On Thursday, March 14, 2024, UVA Radiology & Medical Imaging presented the 15th Annual Tegtmeyer Lecture, titled: “From Bedside to Biosphere: Embracing Planetary Health in Healthcare.”
The talk was delivered by Reed A. Omary, MD, MS, the Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor of Radiology & Radiological Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Omary is an alumnus of the University of Virginia’s diagnostic radiology residency, who also completed his master’s degree in epidemiology at UVA.

The Tegtmeyer Endowed Lectureship was established in 2009 to honor Charles J. “Tunk” Tegtmeyer. In addition to an annual lecture, the project supports scholarly and educational activities for trainees and initiatives dedicated to the advancement of interventional radiology.
