The United Way Day of Caring is one of the largest annual volunteer events in the country, during which more than 1,700 volunteers come together to complete various community service projects in the greater Charlottesville area. This year, the Department of Surgery headed to Agnor Hurt Elementary School to help teachers make educational materials for students.
