Congratulations to the research team led by resident Emily Ninmer, MD (Co PIs: Craig Slingluff, MD and Heman Shakeri, PhD). Dr. Ninmer was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from the UVA Cancer Center for her project titled “Sex differences in the melanoma tumor microenvironment and clinical outcomes after immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy”. This will be a cross-departmental collaboration with UVA’s School of Data Science. We are excited to see the results of this impactful work!
