VCDPE’s Lifestyle Coach Training

VCDPE’s Lifestyle Coach Training provides Lifestyle Coaches with the knowledge, skills, and experience to effectively facilitate the National DPP Lifestyle Change Program.

This training is open to individuals who are affiliated with organizations that have pending recognition or will apply for CDC recognition, including peer educators, community members, community health workers and health professionals.  We offer both In-Person and Virtual Lifestyle Coach Training.

Virtual Lifestyle Coach Training

VCDPE’s virtual training is a four-session, live synchronous training (coaches and trainers meet at same time using video-teleconferencing) over a 2–4-week period (8-hours of meeting). There are four hours of additional online videos, readings, homework assignments and assessments that must be completed outside of class. Continuing professional education units are provided.  REGISTER HERE

Advanced Training

CDC now requires National DPP Lifestyle Coaches to complete at least two-hours of Advanced Training per year since well-trained Coaches have a significant impact on participant outcomes. VCDPE’s Advanced Training site includes On-Demand Webinars crafted to sharpen Lifestyle Coach’s, Program Coordinators and Master Trainer’s  skill set, understanding and effectiveness.  Our Advanced Trainings are created and delivered by subject matter experts.  Visit our Advanced Training page to learn more.

Custom Group Training

Throughout the year, VCDPE is available to schedule dates for in-person and virtual trainings for groups of 10 or more.  We are available for off-site and virtual trainings of the  National DPP Lifestyle Coach Training, Advanced Group Coaching Skills and Distance Learning Delivery training programs for organizations that want to increase their capacity and go virtual.  Please contact Anne Wolf, MS, RDN, Director, if you are interested in planning a training experience for your group.
