Hometown: Raleigh, NC

Undergraduate School: University of Virginia

Medical School: George Washington University

Hobbies/Outside Interests: Horseback riding, CrossFit, hiking, traveling, hanging out with my husband and dog.

Favorite things about/to do/to eat in Charlottesville: Some of my favorite C’ville activities are: hiking, going to wineries and breweries with friends, and horseback riding. Oh also cheering on UVA basketball!!

Why did you choose UVA? I chose UVA because Charlottesville is my second home. Although I’m from North Carolina, I am a Wahoo at heart and I absolutely love it here. There is so much to do and it is a really fun town. I knew the anesthesiology residency program would give me excellent training and fosters a positive work and learning environment. Residents are very happy and extremely knowledgeable. There is also a very strong female presence in the department and having that support is really awesome!

Anesthesiology Interests: Regional anesthesia, but I like it all!

Favorite Rotation: So far pediatrics – I have yet to do my regional rotation!
