Dr. Berry is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Intervention Science, Department of Medical Social Sciences, Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, with affiliations across CBITs, the Claude D. Pepper Older Americans’ Independence Center, and the HCI+D Center. With more than 15 years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating health information technologies, and advanced training in Human Centered Design & Engineering and Biomedical Informatics, Dr. Berry brings deep expertise to the future of patient-centered digital health.
His seminar, “Designing technology-enabled services for people with multiple chronic conditions,” offered a thoughtful survey of a decade of design-based research and highlighted exciting new directions, including the role of generative AI in pre-visit reflection and dialogue preparation.
