iLab Web Access

The Biorepository and Tissue Research Facility (BTRF) uses iLab, the web-based system used by UVA SOM Cores, for scheduling of shared equipment, tracking, and billing of core service requests. Most services of the BTRF cannot be requested directly in iLab and require separate form submissions. Users may make equipment reservations directly in iLab after receiving appropriate training. BTRF users will require an iLab account to set up billing for their projects or to reserve instrument time.

Use of the system requires a one-time registration and provides access to all UVA SOM Cores. Once you are registered, the system will enable you to schedule instrument use, submit service requests, provide quote approvals, and monitor progress. Please follow the instructions below to complete the one-time registration process and get started working with the BTRF lab.

Important: Please do not upload any files to the iLab website that contain identifying information regarding human subjects (medical record numbers, surgical pathology accession numbers, etc.). Please submit these to the BTRF manually or by using the secure UVA Health System email service.
