Equipment
The cryogenic storage system is integrated with MR6 building infrastructure for RM B501B. It consists of an external liquid nitrogen bulk tank and -80 °c freezers with piping, safety equipment, environmental controls and alarm panels.
Robotic staining platform with automated baking, deparaffinization, cell conditioning and staining for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH).
High-throughput, automated whole slide scanning platform that rapidly scans glass slides to converts them to digital data. It’s capable of scan 82 slides per hour for both 20× and 40× magnification, delivering high throughput and exceptional image quality.
GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP) from NanoString is a technology that enables high plex spatial and molecular profiling technologies by generating a whole tissue image at single cell resolution and digital profiling data for RNA or protein analytes in tissue specimens on slides. Tissue slides are stained with large panels of pre-mixed biological probes, which each contains a unique, UV-cleavable protein or DNA barcode; and fluorescently-labeled morphology markers to visually or computationally elucidate the morphology of the tissue.
The CFX96 Touch System is a powerful, precise, and flexible real-time PCR detection system. This six-channel real-time PCR instrument combines advanced optical technology with precise temperature control to deliver sensitive, reliable detection for single plex or multiplex reactions. The instrument monitors amplification traces in real time on the integrated LCD touch screen.
QIAcube performs fully automated purification of DNA, RNA or proteins using QIAGEN spin-column kits, and can purify up to 12 samples per run. It follows a simple lyse, bind, wash and elute procedure and eliminates all manual steps usually necessary for purification.
NanoDrop One spectrophometer is a compact, stand-alone UV-Visible spectrophotometer developed for micro-volume analysis of purified nucleic acids and a wide variety of proteins. The sample retention system enables the measurement of highly concentrated samples without the need for dilutions.
The tissue processor is a tissue processing and embedding system designed to efficiently produce high quality paraffin blocks with round chamber design to help increase the efficiency of fluid and baskets designed with cassette spacers to allow fluid to easily move in and out of each cassette.
The device is a compact, semi-automatic tissue microarray (TMA) arrayer. It is a system that constructs the TMA block by removing a core (tube shaped section) of tissue from a paraffin block (donor block) using a hollow needle and transferring this core to a predetermined position on a paraffin block (recipient block).
The cryostat is an innovative manual cryostat for high quality efficient sectioning of frozen specimens with knife cooling and adjustable specimen head temperature for rapid adjustment to meet the temperature requirements for each specimen.
Microtome is a specialized precision cutting instrument, which accurately and repeatedly slices sections from a block of embedded tissue. This device is used to section paraffin with a staged rotary action such that the actual cutting is part of the rotary motion.
