Huan Bao, PhD, Joins Cancer Center Research Faculty

Bao, HuanThe Cancer Center welcomes Associate Professor of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics Huan Bao, PhD, to its Cancer Biology Program.

Dr. Bao’s research interests include cancer vaccines, immunotherapy, structural biology, cancer exosomes, biophysics of cell membrane pore formation, research and therapeutic applications of lipid nanoparticles, and methods to enhance the delivery of mRNA therapeutics. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia, completing his postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He earned his MS in Biochemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his BS in Biological Science from Wuhan University.

In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, biking, and kayaking with his family. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Bao!
