The University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center (UVACCC) shares the goals of the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute — to reduce and ultimately eliminate the burden of cancer health disparities. At UVACCC, organizational excellence and workforce strategy are fundamental to advancing our mission to eliminate cancer health disparities. By fostering a supportive, high-performing, and inclusive work environment, UVACCC empowers its faculty, staff, and trainees to thrive while delivering impactful research, care, and community engagement. Strategic initiatives grounded in psychological safety, employee well-being, and leadership development strengthen our ability to attract, retain, and develop a diverse and mission-aligned workforce. Through institutional partnerships, data-informed decision-making, and continuous improvement of policies and processes, we are building a resilient organizational culture that reflects our unwavering commitment to equity, innovation, and excellence in cancer care and discovery.
