Educational Initiatives & Opportunities
A variety of education and training initiatives and opportunities are available to promote and facilitate an enhanced training experience within the UVA Cancer Center. Training grant programs and summer programs are in place to develop professional skills and expertise in fundamental areas of cancer research across clinical, basic science, and translational fields. These programs, along with other activities, events, and opportunities, are overseen by the Education Oversite Committee, which is charged with centralizing and optimizing all education and training activities in the Cancer Center.

Cancer Research Post-Baccalaureate Fellows Program
The Cancer Research-Post-Baccalaureate Fellows Program (CR-PFP) is a two-year program supported by the American Cancer Society and designed to provide an individualized research experience for trainees with a STEM bachelor’s degree who intend to pursue graduate studies in biomedical science, public health, or a health profession.
