In addition to serving the School of Medicine, the Clinical Skills Center facilities and simulated patients are utilized to teach and assess undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Nursing.

Grant-funded research projects frequently use the Clinical Skills Center to develop cases for teaching and assessment in areas of inter-professional collaboration, clinical skills instruction, and graduate medical education.

Simulated patients are used to aid in the instruction of practicing physicians, house staff and allied health students in small group settings.

Simulated patients are also used for lecture demonstrations in various medical school courses (live and videotape).
