Woodard Properties invites the community to come out and join a fun-filled day in Fifeville with family-friendly activities, food trucks, a bounce house, local vendors, music, and much more! Help bring the community together and support businesses on Cherry Avenue. UVA Cancer Center Outreach and Engagement Team members will be present with health education opportunities.
The Danville Police Department Presents 2nd Annual Cars & Community. Car Meet-Music-Vendors-Food trucks-Police & Fires- Tons of Family Fun on October 8th from 3-7 pm. The event is designed to bring community organizations and resources to the community through the draw of a car show. A UVA Cancer Center Community Outreach and Engagement team member plans to attend to provide cancer prevention and early detection resources for the community. Join the Latino Health Initiative at the Boys and Girls Club in Southwood for a presentation in Spanish to discuss how family history and genetics affects your cancer risk, learn about screening options for colorectal and breast cancer, and how you can access the Every Woman’s Life program to get a FREE Mammogram.

Details: Vance Street Baptist Church in partnership with the Virginia Department of Health are hosting a Health Expo Breakfast on April 1st, 2023 from 8:30 a.m.-Noon at Vance Street Baptist Church (206 Vance Street). All are welcome. We’ll have food, fellowship, and education on healthcare topics that affect us all. We’ll also have kids’ activities, topics for tweens, teens and adults.
