Event: Community Health & Wellness Fair – Diversity Richmond
Date: April 22, 2023 from 10 am -3 pm.
Details: This is a free event providing yoga, massages, Zumba, vendors, education classes, blood pressure checks, HIV/AIDS testing, STD Testing & more. Please contact ugrcrva@gmail.com for details.

The next quarterly SWVA Community Advisory Board meeting is on Thursday, June 1st, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Abingdon Higher Education Center. The event will be held both in-person and virtually. Virtual participants will receive a Zoom link. Please RSVP. Full agenda to follow

Massages, acupuncture, health information, gifts, good food, giveaways and fellowship. An Outreach and Engagement Specialist from the UVA OCOE team plans to attend this event. This event is not hosted by UVA OCOE.
Health Expo hosted by the Health Wagon at the Wise County fairgrounds in July on the 18th, 29th, and 30th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. UVACC will be in attendance. More details to follow.
Past Event Information:
Move Mountains Medical Missions, an annual event expanding free medical, dental and vision care formerly offered by The Health Wagon and Remote Area Medical (RAM). Move Mountains Medical Missions will be hosted by The Health Wagon at the Wise County Fairgrounds in Wise, Virginia. The Health Wagon will collaborate with the Virginia Dental Association Foundation’s Mission of Mercy project to provide dental care. Mission of Mercy dental clinic will be held simultaneously at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise’s Convocation Center. Free medical, dental and vision services will continue to be offered, including stronger access to specialty and diagnostic health care services. The new health outreach will likely include longtime founding partner The Lions Club.

Stay in the Game—Cancer Conversations for Men. Join fellow men for a free breakfast, coffee, and real talk about prostate cancer and the impact it is having on Black men in Charlottesville. Featuring Tracy Downs, MD, FACS, Urologist, UVA Health. Everyone who attends will receive breakfast, a small gift and a chance to be entered into a raffle for one of 2 UVA sports packages.
Open to men of all ages – experience with cancer not required.
