Research Interests
Clinical effectiveness and safety of advanced endoscopic procedures, techniques and technologies
Research Description
Dr. Wang's research includes investigating the clinical effectiveness and safety of endoscopic techniques and technologies in the management of gastrointestinal diseases.
Current clinical areas of interest and investigation include:
1) Endoluminal resection techniques including underwater endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for the treatment of GI neoplasia and early malignancies
2) Advanced techniques and technologies in the endoscopic treatment of pancreatico-biliary disease via ERCP and EUS, including endobiliary ablation (by PDT and RFA)
3) Per-oral endoscopic myotomy for the treatment of esophageal motility disorders
4) Diagnosis and management of premalignant gastric lesions, as they relate to endoscopic treatment
