We are committed to providing fellows with the environment and mentoring that will foster the development of outstanding leaders in the field of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Eligible candidates must have completed an ACGME or AOA accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology program in good standing and passed USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3. Our program sponsors the J-1 visa, so international medical school graduates must be eligible for ECFMG certification before matriculation and demonstrate spoken and written English proficiency.

- Three (3) letters of recommendation, one of which is the MFM SLOE (Standard Letter of Recommendation).
- SLOE Form
- If you are not currently a resident you may submit a third recommendation letter in lieu of the SLOE.

Invitations to interview dates for the 2026 University of Virginia, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship will be sent on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The deadline to accept or decline interview invitations is May 26, 2026.
