After having the opportunity to cover sports medicine events in idyllic Virginia landscapes, experiencing the breadth of exposure that residents have to EMG/NCS and interventional procedures, and seeing first-hand the department’s commitment to clinical excellence whilst maintaining a culture marked by camaraderie, I knew that UVA was where I wanted to perform my post-graduate training. Furthermore, the Charlottesville area provides endless entertainment and activities, from picturesque hikes and wineries to a fantastic restaurant lineup and special events associated with being a pre-eminent college town. It is a dream come true to join the UVA PM&R family and be able to raise my own family in Charlottesville.
