Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Change Program

The National DPP Lifestyle Change Program is a research-based program focusing on healthy eating and physical activity and is led by a trained Lifestyle Coach.  Research showed that people with prediabetes who take part in a structured lifestyle change program can cut their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58% (71% for people over 60 years old).  Please find more information on the Lifestyle Change Program here and determine if this program is for you!

  • “This is an excellent program. I’ve never been able to lose weight and keep it off like I have with this
    program.”
  • “This has been a great program with an excellent facilitator!  I have gained valuable educational
information regarding Type 2 Diabetes and given the tools to better prepare me and prevent its onset.”
  • “I made significant, but gradual changes and have lost and KEPT OFF Even in the Pandemic over 40lbs
improving my mobility and health. It is common sense, but extremely useful info and the accountability is
incredible. I loved this chance to bond with others on campus I might normally not know and have every
intention of continuing to meet with anyone who is willing. The text buddy program was my fav part.”
  • “The program has helped me focus on my weaknesses and to learn more control.  It has helped me with
knowing which choices are better options. I have learned a lot that I didn’t know about cells and insulin
and how it works.  Overall the program was an immense success for me.  I would love to do it again.”
