Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
At UVA, more than 70 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are involved in the administration of anesthesia to all types of patients in every setting where anesthesia is delivered. The UVA Department of Anesthesia utilizes the anesthesia care team approach which consists of CRNAs, physician anesthesiologists, anesthesia residents, student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) and anesthesia technicians. Our team collaborates to provide the best possible care for our patients.

The CRNA team is excited to share we have a mentorship program for our new graduate hires! As a new graduate hire, you will be paired with a CRNA mentor who will serve as a formal resource throughout your first six months of employment. Our goal is to facilitate a smooth transition into your new role as a CRNA. Mentors will meet with their mentees once a month to check in and ensure you are equipped with the information and support needed for success in the OR and NORA spaces.
