This event provides an opportunity for community members to dispose of prescription drugs currently in their home to help prevent misuse by family members or others who may be in the home. This event is free to the public.

The Cancer Center Without Walls SWVA Community Advisory Board — Tobacco Action Team hosts an online VHFY Meet & Greet on October 14th from 10-11 am.
Please join us on October 14th from 10-11 am for our virtual action team meeting to share your work and network with other Southwest VFHY tobacco grantees. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their tobacco related projects and accomplishments, discuss barriers related to tobacco prevention and cessation, and participate in a SOAR activity. We hope this meeting can become a quarterly event to share opportunities, initiatives, and project success around tobacco cessation.
The next quarterly meeting of the SWVA Community Advisory Board will be held virtually Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, from noon-1:30 pm via zoom. Registration.
Join us on Wednesday, April 6th at 12 pm to learn more about the importance of including more Black women in breast cancer clinical trials. We will hear from Ricki Fairley, CEO of Touch: The Black Breast Cancer Alliance, about their Why We Tri(al) initiative and from Claudette Grant, Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist from UVA Cancer Center on what they are doing to diversify their clinical trials.
