Curriculum Evaluation Subcommittee

The Curriculum Evaluation Subcommittee reports to the Curriculum Committee. This subcommittee is charged with broadly overseeing, conducting and continuously improving the curriculum evaluation process, and ensuring that it is transparent, that diverse experiences and perspectives are represented, and that the results are valid, useful, and informative. This subcommittee meets monthly to read all end of course evaluation reports, discuss course and thread evaluation reports from the Curriculum Committee reviewers, collaborate with additional faculty and student representation to undertake bi-annual reviews of Phases 1, 2, and 3 and monitor Key Evaluation Indicators. The chair is the Director of Curriculum Evaluation. Recommendations and findings from this subcommittee must be reviewed and approved by the Curriculum Committee.

The voting membership includes:

  • Director of Curriculum Evaluation, chair
  • Manager of Curriculum Evaluation
  • Associate Dean for Assessment, Evaluation, and Scholarship
  • Nine (9) At-Large Curriculum Committee members
  • A student SMEC representative from each class
