The School of Medicine, Accredited with Commendation by the ACCME since 1984 and the School of Nursing accredited by the ANCC since 2014 are now collaborating as a Joint Accreditation Provider. This series, developed by Clinical Trials Office (CTO) and Clinical Research Office (CRO) offers training and education focusing on various aspects of clinical research. Attending this series offers clinical research professionals opportunity to stay current on guidelines, regulations, and trends in the conduct of clinical research. Session attendees are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s) or ANCC contact hour(s).

Professional Research Certifications:
There are two national organizations that provide education and professional certification of Clinical Research Professionals: the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).
ACRP
Founded in 1976, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to promote excellence in clinical research and whose vision is that clinical research is performed ethically, responsibly, and professionally everywhere in the world.

SOCRA
Founded in 1991, the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) is a non-profit, charitable and educational membership organization committed to providing education, certification, and networking opportunities to all persons involved in clinical research activities. SOCRA, the premier educational organization for oncology site coordinators, has now emerged as a leading educational organization for clinical researchers in all therapeutic areas, supporting industry, government and academia.
