In our lab, we leverage affinity purification mass spectrometry (AP-MS) to uncover the intricate networks of protein-protein interactions. This technique allows us to capture and compare the unique interaction partners of distinct protein isoforms, shedding light on how alternative splicing can influence cellular function. By identifying these isoform-specific interactors, we aim to understand the molecular mechanisms that drive physiological processes and disease states, such as coronary artery disease, bone mineral density, and cancer. Our approach not only reveals new insights into protein networks but also highlights potential therapeutic targets that arise from these dynamic interactions.
