Dr. Savory has been active in research throughout his career, focusing initially on automation development and informatics. He carried out pioneering work on automation of immunoassays and also on applications of centrifugal analysis. However, it is in the area of metal toxicology that he has made the most significant impact, especially concentrating on aluminum neurotoxicology.

Dennis J. Templeton, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Templeton served as Chair of the Department of Pathology between 2001 and 2012, during which time he maintained a research program in the molecular biology of signal transduction in cancer, and the role of food nutrients in cancer prevention.
