Pattie Frischkorn

Co-owner of Phaeton, an art gallery in downtown Charlottesville that houses ten artist studios and hosts exhibitions, events, and workshops for the public. With a degree in Equine Science from UMASS Amherst, for twelve years she served as Director of Nursing at Virginia Tech’s Equine Veterinary teaching hospital. A lifelong horse enthusiast, she moved to the Charlottesville area in 1993 and raised her four wonderful (now adult) children, including a set of twins. She lives west of town in Ivy and over the years has helped promote and raise funds for the UVA Children’s Hospital, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and other deserving organizations as a board member and volunteer.

Steve Markowitz

A Honolulu-based healthtech investor with an abiding intellectual interest in human consciousness and its survivability. He serves as chairman of LifeDNA and iFirst Medical Technologies, pioneering companies in the fields of personal genomics and handheld diagnostics. He is a citizen scientist and a recognized inventor on seven issued U.S. patents. Early in his career, Steve co-founded MyPoints.com and, as chairman and CEO, led the company’s Nasdaq IPO in 1999. Steve earned an MBA and a B.A. in East Asian Languages (Japanese, High Honors), both from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a global traveler and an avid reader and thinker on consciousness topics. Steve lives in Honolulu with his wife Miyuki and 14-year-old daughter Sara.

Jessica Johnson Papaspyridis

Serves as CEO of Newswise, where her passion for research communication drives her work with leading research institutions, universities, associations, and hospitals worldwide to share their important and often fascinating news driving innovation.  Drawing from her international business and entrepreneurial background, Jessica enjoys designing new ways to communicate research to journalists and public audiences. Jessica lives in Charlottesville with her husband, Theodoros, and son, Ilias.

Greyson Williams

Co-founder of Quantitative Investment Management and president of Moses Gate Holdings. Through Moses Gate, he’s overseen investments in over 50 startups and early-stage businesses, often serving as an advisor. Over the years, Greyson has also been a volunteer, board member, and supporter of many local non-profits. Greyson lives in Charlottesville with his wife, Ariana, and their two daughters.
