Special Programs

Additional curricular programs are available to our medical students.

The primary focus of the Generalist Scholars Program (GSP) is the development of student leaders who intend to pursue a career in a field of generalist medicine through the practice of Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics, or Med-Peds.

The Hook Scholars Program in Humanities and Ethics  complements UVA’s medical curriculum by providing an informal humanities, bioethics, and arts pathway through all four years of medical education.
