Emily is a third year student at the University of Virginia who is double majoring in Biology and Women, Gender & Sexuality. After college she plans on attending medical school in hopes of becoming a surgeon. She is currently an intern on the CARRII Study under Dr. Ingersoll. She is in the University Internship Program for the summer. Emily is excited for the fall semester as she is studying abroad in Valencia. She has been taking Spanish since kindergarten and hopes to become fluent. She is also looking forward to leading a medical service trip to Panama next Spring through Global Medical Dental Brigades at UVA.
