Incidence and Correlates of Near-Death Experiences in a Cardiac Care Unit

This article describes a 3-year study of 1,595 patients hospitalized in a cardiac care unit, in which 10% of patients with cardiac arrest and 1% of patients with other heart problems had NDEs.
