Hilgart, Michelle M.Ed., Ph.D.

Michelle Hilgart earned a doctoral degree in instructional sciences and technology  in 2013, and a master’s degree with a focus in educational psychology in 2004.  Both degrees are from the Curry school of Education at the University of Virginia. Since joining Behavioral Health and Technology as a consultant in 2008, Dr. Hilgart has contributed to the development of Internet interventions aimed at populations with insomnia, pediatric encopresis, type 1 diabetes, and spinal cord injury. Dr. Hilgart has a strong interest in the application of instructional design process in the development of Internet interventions for health behavior change and has published on this topic.
