Abby is a rising 4th year student at the University of Virginia. As a Biology major with a minor in Bioethics, she is interested in the overlap between medicine, public health ethics, and psychology. She was introduced to the Behavioral Health and Technology Institute through the UIP Summer program and has been working primarily on the CARRII study, or the Contraception and Alcohol Risk Reduction Internet Intervention. The study hopes to reduce alcohol-exposed pregnancies by using an online intervention program. After graduation, Abby hopes to gain more experience and exposure to the medical field by taking a bridge year before then applying to medical school.
