Holly R. Lord earned her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Virginia (UVA) in 2008. She conducts research with the Behavioral Health & Technology group at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Va. Her current work involves statistical analyses and evaluation of Internet interventions for behavioral health conditions. She is a co-investigator on studies funded by the National Institutes of Health that utilize technology to increase access to treatment. Previously, Dr. Lord examined the intersection of technology and society through dissertation research on differential participation by men and women in the field of Computer Science. This study involved multi-level analysis where contextual and individual-level factors were used to predict gendered outcomes. She has published and presented on this topic.
