Health Care Ethics and Moral Distress Consultation: Practice-Based Intensive Training

This intensive 3-day training program is an exciting new offering designed for practicing health care professionals who wish to develop their ethics consultation knowledge and skills. The training will emphasize key elements of the Core Competencies for Healthcare Ethics Consultation promulgated by the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities.

 Accreditation and Designation Statement

The University of Virginia School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Virginia School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 20.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.TM Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The University of Virginia School of Medicine awards 20.25 hours of participation (equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.TM ) to each non-physician participant who successfully completes this educational activity. The University of Virginia School of Medicine maintains a record of participation for six (6) years.

The University of Virginia School of Nursing Continuing Education is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The University of Virginia SONCE awards 20.25 contact hour for nurses who participate in this educational activity and complete the post activity evaluation.
