Lung TRT

Within the UVACCC catchment area, lung cancer incidence and mortality are higher than national averages. The Lung TRT was created to focus basic science, translational, clinical, population health, and screening research efforts to reduce the burden of lung cancer. Led by clinical, basic science, and population science researchers, the Lung TRT unites investigators to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations. The team meets on the third Thursday of each month to discuss current research and identify opportunities for collaboration. Each October, the Lung TRT issues an RFA for pilot awards to support lung cancer initiatives.
