Madison first started working with the Center for Diabetes Technology in June 2021 during her graduate program at UVA. As a Data Operations and Research Member, she gained experience in the medical device industry, specifically mastering the operation of brand name diabetes technology. She helped the Data Operations and Inventory Teams with engineering a more efficient inventory management system by writing standard operating procedures. She managed the inventory and supplies for multiple clinical trials. Inventory management tasks include organizing, processing new inventory, controlling (via online database), allocation, shipping, and auditing (weekly and annually). She was a Tier-2 Technician for two on-site clinical trials, which involved monitoring research participants and troubleshooting medical devices. She also had the pleasure of training new hires/interns/students on diabetes technology, devices, software, and supplies.

In September 2022, Madison joined the Center full-time as a Project Associate. She manages all the social media platforms (Website and Twitter) for the Center. She also plays a key role in aiding the flow of information and communication between the different teams that work on our clinical trials.

In Madison’s free time she enjoys experiencing new foods and activities. She also loves all forms of photography and painting.
