Educational Conferences

We offer many opportunities for our residents to learn from faculty members and visiting speakers.

Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds are held monthly on the first Wednesday at 7:00AM in the Urology Conference room, September through June. Presentations on various urology topics are offered as part of a 4-year cycle to ensure coverage of all areas of urology. Presenters include urology faculty and residents, as well as faculty from allied departments or visiting faculty from outside institutions. Grand rounds are often attended by community urologists.

Vest Lecture

The Vest Lecture is an annual, full-day event held in early April. A distinguished guest speaker visits UVA to lecture on new topics in the practice of urology. The event includes exhibits as well as lectures on multiple topics, and it offers attendees an opportunity to develop their professional network. This unmissable event is often attended by community urologists in addition to our full faculty.
