Becoming More User-Friendly

neon smiley face signCurrently, our team is in the process of making the SOM websites more user-friendly, easier to edit, and more accessible for those with disabilities. Throughout this process we may contact you, the editors, to get your opinion on the styles or changes that we make. We want to be as transparent and open about these changes as possible.

Our Three Major Goals

  • The first goal is getting rid of the need to use HTML coding, which will in return make things easier when editing your websites.
  • Second, we are also replacing the old style of Tables; either with a mobile-friendly version called TablePress or removing the table altogether in places where it’s not needed.
  • Lastly, we are cleaning up the Faculty and Student profiles, to give a more cohesive and eye-catching look.

You will be notified if we make any of these changes to your site. If you receive an email from us and we do not hear any feedback, we will assume you are okay with the changes indicated and will proceed with replacing old pages with the newer versions.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact us and we will be happy to help in any way that we can.

Thank you!
