Orthopaedic Surgery Elective Rotations
Orthopaedic Surgery Elective Rotations at the University of Virginia are available to interested students in his or her clinical year. The typical 4 – 5 week rotation is divided into 1 week blocks in subspecialty services (listed below). The rotation will allow students to participate in outpatient clinics, surgeries and Orthopaedic conferences.
We currently have affiliations with the following PA programs:
- James Madison University
- Virginia Medical School PA Program
- Shenandoah University
- Wake Forest
- University of Pittsburgh
- South University (Savannah, GA)
If your program is not listed above, an affiliation agreement between UVA is required prior to the start of a rotation.
Prior to the start of a rotation, students will receive an email from the PA student coordinator, Kelsey Parente (kmg5d@virginia.edu), including assigned schedule and pre-rotation requirements. Please note, we are unable to accept requests for specific subspecialty rotations.
