Dr. Jonathan Garneau will be joining the Division of Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Surgery as Assistant Professor starting in August. Dr. Garneau was born in Rochester, NY and earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago – Pritzker School of Medicine. He received his residency training with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and completed his fellowship training at The University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University specializing in Head and Neck Cancer, Transoral Robotic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction. With his multi-disciplinary research experience,

Dr. Garneau is excited to join the team at UVA and form multi-institutional research partnerships with the extensive network he has built through his medical training. He has a strong interest in imaging analysis, specifically with the identification of radiographic biomarkers as it relates to head and neck cancer diagnosis and treatment. In his spare time, Dr. Garneau enjoys hiking, golfing, playing the piano and drums, and cooking with his wife.
