Dr. Rabee Haq, MD, MPH - Addiction Medicine Fellow

Dr. Rabee Haq, MD, MPH was raised between rural Pennsylvania and Maryland. He designed his own major, Positive Psychology, Philosophy, and Happiness, at the University of Maryland, and earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia. He completed residency training in preventive medicine at Meharry Medical College, where he served as Chief Resident and received the Outstanding Resident Award. He is glad to be back at UVA as an Addiction Medicine Fellow. He is drawn to what’s next in addiction medicine — neuromodulation, GLP-1 therapies, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and behavioral addictions such as gambling — and to the work of building and leading programs that bring evidence-based care to more people.
