The Sunbeatables program begins a 16-course at Buena Vista City Public Schools- FW Kling ES on August 27, 2024.
The University of Virginia’s Comprehensive Cancer Center works with school programs to implement Ray and the Sunbeatables®: A Sun Safety Curriculum. This free, evidence-based curriculum educates children, parents, and teachers about sun protection and promotes sun safety behaviors to reduce children’s lifetime risk of developing skin cancer. The curriculum was developed by the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Join this event for the remarkable true story of Henrietta Lacks. Following the screening, there will be a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring ethics, medical history, and the impact of Henrietta Lacks’ legacy.
